Hey, I'm Bjoern Stiel 👋

I love sharing what I've learned about Celery, the popular Python task queue.

It all started with my other job: I am the technical co-founder in a b2b SaaS business. Our product brings GitHub-style functionality to Excel workbooks and relies HEAVILY on Celery for that.

We shipped the first version of our product back in 2017.

Since then I have spent countless days and nights figuring out which seemingly innocent Celery config option made Redis explode. And whether it was Celery in the first place and not Redis or something else.

This is why I started this blog, to share my experience with you: about Celery, message brokers, and building a software business.
